A light-hearted manga that is awkwardly sincere.
It doesn't pull any punches, and the synopsis cannot be more mundane: an adolescent boy who is vexed and confused by the affection displayed by a girl who shows interests in him. There are no tragic backstories, complex characters, or adversary that needs to be overcome. It's just two people in love and their everyday life doing couple things like holding hands, taking selfies, visiting each other's house... You can realistically imagine a real couple going through this.
Among romcom slops, this manga stands out for its honest portrayal of how being in love feels like, the angst of being
...
apart and not knowing their partner's feelings, the butterflies when someone shows affection and it being reciprocated. And as a result of lacking any structured story, the reread value diminishes quickly once readers are caught up to the latest chapters as the butterflies are no longer there. In a way, that's also one of the characteristics of love: overwhelming but fleeting. And it's through perseverance and trust in each other that compel 2 people to stay together, even when the butterflies are gone.
