This is the best Villains manhwa that you will ever read

It have everything you want from a romance manhwa
( some little thing i think will come when the story continue )

the artstyle is pretty good and story is well written with very good mc and side characters like Callisto
and u see how the characters developed to be what they like. with the mc not just being very smart or anything but she can endure what happen to her

its also have plot twists and a unique story. ok at a certain point, the story moved from that you were the one who ... understood the events and everything to that she was giving you everything all at once. True, it's a bad thing, but it doesn't ruin the story nor the enjoyability

i have even read over 100 chapters on one set and i rarely do that it's very enjoyable to read

I feel bad for Ecles. He is literally a slave and has lost his nation. But the MC always thinks that her problems are comparable to his. I don't get why the MC always says that her family mistreats her. To me, it looks otherwise, she is aloof and keeps making distance. She has a father who gives everything to her, and her second brother always looks up to her. I'd admit that her family and her love interest all have some flaws, but she does have some flaws too. She uses her slave, her rabbit sorcerer, her crown prince, and still thinks everything is ... a game. But I do sometimes love her character, she is femme fatale and gets everyone to kneel and cry for her HAAHAHA

Plot
FL gets trapped in an otome game as the villainess (hard mode) and the "game system" essentially forces quests on to her. She must make careful moves to survive, and make one of the romantic targets fall in love with her (prince, her two brothers, a slave and a secret magician). A single mistake could immediately result in her death. She decides to go for the slave, as he's the easiest route.

Review
I'm at the climax (chapter 203), and the story will probably end in 20-30 chapters.

The series starts strong and tense. FL can only pick among the choices provided by system, and ... picking the wrong choice would almost immediately lead to death. Although, all of that is dropped within a few chapters, and suddenly, the plot loses most of its tension. The plot armor becomes glaringly obvious, with FL making very questionable decisions and still not dying.

One of the worst parts was the slave (eckles character). FL deciding to make him fall in love and finishing the game is the most important plot point for the majority of the story. Yet, she completely ignores him. Hello??? You have one fucking job. This was not a one time thing, as the story repeatedly points out and even the slave himself keeps telling her, that he wants to hang out with her and yet, she keeps forgetting that. This makes it very hard to take the plot seriously.

The prince, who was supposed to be the most scary and murderous guy, never feels threatening after the first meeting.
FL gets insane power ups during combat. Villains, for some reason, keep making bad indirect plans, instead of just aiming for FL directly.

FL keeps whining like a baby for 200 chapters despite most of her issues being a result of misunderstandings and miscommunications. She is the only daughter of the only duke of the most powerful empire, and she compares herself to the life of a *literal* slave from a defeated country. Her gaslighting the slave likely contributes to 60% of global warming. FL keeps accusing others of prejudice, but forgets that she WAS a villainess in the past. Of course, even her past wrongs are whitewashed and everyone else is blamed instead. Even her bullying the OGFL is excused as some genetically inherited instinct.


The only consistently positive thing about this series is the gorgeous art (deserves high rating). The characters are really beautiful, especially FL's hair. The writing, while decent in the early parts, resorts to angst as a crutch like a soap opera. One other thing that is worthy of mention is FL's unshakeable desire to go back home.

Overall
The series had a lot of potential, but it ran for way too long IMO. There's no interesting characters or premises to hold our interest for so long. For those, who do love angst and tragic characters, this would be a good choice. If you don't like it, you can still appreciate the art before dropping it.
