A Masterpiece of Absurdist Action!
Rooster Fighter (Niwatori Fighter) is a breath of fresh air in the action-parody genre. Shū Sakuratani's art is incredibly detailed—the way he captures the 'hard-boiled' intensity of a literal rooster is both hilarious and visually stunning.

The story follows Keiji, a lone wanderer seeking vengeance against giant 'Kijū'. What makes this work is its absolute commitment to the bit. It's played completely straight, which makes the comedy hit even harder. The action sequences are dynamic and surprisingly brutal, reminiscent of series like One Punch Man or Kaiju No. 8.

I have seen this manga (thumbnail) many times across the years and finally decided to give it a shot.
I spent 2 focused hours finishing the entire manga.

In a nutshell, you got an MC who happens to be a powerful figure in the body of a rooster who lives for his own goals. While also seeking to get revenge on the demon who took his sister.

Like many others, I was skeptical as this is the first ever series I have read featuring a.. Chicken?
I am a seasoned Manga/Manhwa/Manhua reader, and this title is the first of its kind for me.

After reading all the chapters, I can ... vouch this is an extremely cool take on Shounen. It's a great balance of the MC"s rough personality showcasing his flaws, reminding the readers he is not indestructible. The rest of the characters have their own set of personalities which compliment each other.

The story alone is simple, Demons seek to take over the world and strong chickens seek to fight against them to save the human race.

The humor is well established with dirty references even Gen Z's like myself can relate too. Everything else is basically Chicken's fighting Demons, and it can't get any cooler than that.

I will watch the anime when it comes out, hopefully the show itself will have superb animation like the art here.

I've found the premise confusing. A chicken battling a massive demon lacks context and logic.


**Critical Flaws:**
- **Origin Code:** No explanation for monsters.
- **Logical Gap:** No training or mutation, creating a size disparity.
- **Biological Flaw:** Chickens can’t talk in a non-anthropomorphic setting.
- **Behavioral Issue:** A rooster attacking a giant monster is irrational without justification.


By Chapter 3, the inconsistencies increase. The rooster defeats a monster but almost drowns, which makes no sense. Character behavior is puzzling; for instance, one child thinks a zoo rooster might be rare, showing a lack of common sense. This writing feels lazy, relying on uninformed characters for humor. A bird expert questions ... her sanity upon seeing a common rooster but accepts a 100-foot demon without doubt, which should be the opposite. Overall, the narrative lacks coherence and logical consistency. Finishing a poorly written book just because you started it is like eating a terrible meal simply because you paid for it.
