| Ozen is just so freaking cool...Lyza's smile and both of their backstory was emotional |
| Only thing I was disappointed with. in this episode. was how short that 10-day training felt, since other than some experiences at times, didn't really showcase how effective that kind of survival training was there. Other than that, this was great. Particularly the flashback with Ozen and Lyza and the face reveal for Lyza was all excellently done, and the music used in general for that scene and the sendoff for Riko and Reg was brilliant (love Kevin Penkin so much for that insert song used). The Ozen arc had its issues for me and times where it felt stagnant but at least Ozen as a character was really good and it was nice to learn more about her dynamic and past with Lyza, and how she was one of the people responsible for Riko being born successfully even though she is a walking corpse. Nice to see Ozen be the one to truly prepare them and send them off towards the next layer. |

| They're on the second level how will they get to the bottom in 6 episodes? I don't want this to end ever. Ugh. There are so many mysteries still that I need to know about! Ozen is relentless, though, she knows what it takes to reach the bottom. Poor Marulk. Lyza talking with Ozen about Riko with the music, I was crying. |
| Again though showing Ozen and Lyza's past, just makes me curious about other White whistlers too. Training was short but anyways I wasn't even expecting it to be dragged out for a one whole episode, so good thing it remained the way it was. Now setting off for the third layer, again expecting plenty of good things to come out. |

Graduated High School in May of 2022. Summer vacation has finally arrived. I have once again regained the power of a new anime fan, being able to watch multiple anime episodes in a day. Time to binge-watch every single anime I can into the night until college arrives. SADGE. SUPER SADGE... College has begun as of Monday, August 30, 2022, so you won't be seeing me much around these parks. See you on weekends, I guess... School me is back. Sigh! I'll at least try for one anime a day with all this course load. |

| Cringe how the story tried to rehabilitate Ozen. "She's actually good person hehe" Well actually no. She literally tried to kill the main characters. "Oh it was just a test" And if you had failed the test, you would had died. Great test. Was she useful in the end? Perhaps, who knows. But even if yes, there is no reason to consider her rehabilitated. She's an outright villain who did the least possible, charging an unacceptable price. |
| Is Reg really a robot, or is he perhaps a cyborg instead? Aside from his mechanical arms, he seems entirely organic in function and character. Reg eats regular food, has the same sense of smell as any other human, feels pain, and generally doesn't display many robotic traits. He seems to have lost his memory after being activated by that electric chair, but that vein of "electrocution therapy" can induce effects like that through forcible brain stimulation in any other human. Will be looking out for more signs of Reg's mechanical framework. |

| Ozen is quite a strange one. Both cruel and kind yet indifferent all at the same time. So I guess she was hurt that Lyda had a lover and that kept her from being closer. I am not sure if that implies a romantic interest or more a close friendship but I am leaning to the former. |

| This show really took a nosedive in the last episode. And now this episode is sort of a continuation of it. Thankfully, it is marginally better, but the substance is super rushed and unsatisfying. Then the show tries to address its ongoing Lost'em-up worldbuilding exposition debt, but does a bunch of bad, meandering, vague and retcon-reeking exposition that feels like digging a deeper hole. On substance… I was bummed when in the last episode they decided to spend ten whole days in this dump. Waste of season screentime, which is already running short. But since it was committed — I wanted to see this survival training fleshed out. Which it wasn't at all. 5 days were depicted in essentially three tiny scenes, then the other half of the span was merely implied as a time skip. What a trashfire..! I guess it's sorta funny how that lines up with Oxen, the flimsiest removable cardboard cutout villain speaking in a corny Goosebumps voice, spoke of time progression's perception down in Abyss. The show was a strong 4/5 up to and including episode 6. Then this whole Oven, the immovable caricature wearing cleats on concrete in Gears of War armor full of empty hot air, Seeker Camp arc crashed all of it. I can only hope the show can recover from this abominable dip. |
