Let's Go Kaiki-gumi

Let's Go Kaikigumi is a supernatural gag comedy. In here we have the classic combination for our leads. One who can deal with the supernatural. Also a scaredy-cat who is afraid of ghosts. Unlike shows like Kaya-chan Isn't Scary and Dark Gathering, this leans much more on the comedic side. So less horror and more comedy here.

C-Station is doing a good job as the comedic direction along with the sound direction offers some solid execution here. What also helps is that the jokes aren't repetitive. While it shares the common theme of the protagonist being scared. The jokes are very varied, which is very nice.

Let's ... Go Kaikigumi is a show of what you see is what you get. Try 1 episode at least. If you don't like it at all, then the show isn't for you. But if you find it fun or funny, you could have yourself a hidden gem for this season.

This is a show out of time, with an art style that calls back to the 90s/early 2000s, with particular attention paid to shading and character design. It's criminally underrated. As other reviews have noted, it's a supernatural horror gag comedy which avoids dwelling too much on the horror element - it's actually closer to a romcom. If you enjoy slow-burns where the girl slowly realizes she likes our broad-shouldered, not-so-bright MC, this show is for you. Where it really shines is in Mechako and our MC's interpersonal dynamics; at first glance, you might find her cold and offputting, but she's actually very sweet. The ... writing reminds me of Gintama, it's got that natural situational humor, never boring or tropey. Highly, highly recommend - you will wish you had Mechako in your closet too.

This is situational gag comedy based on spooky/supernatural things. Well, at least on paper.

To be honest, premise is okay, nothing special, FMC Mechako is cute and funny, and some jokes surely gave me a good laugh.

I have two main issues. First one, is it is very situational and episodic, after basic setup of main characters meet, nothing really happens. No plot advancement of sorts.

Second one, is MMC. he is just constantly screaming. "Aaaargh, ghost! Aaaargh, girl! Aaaargh, stone on a road!" This part is not funny, it is irritating, it's like 30% of episode time is just pure rage scream.

I can't recommend it, ... but this title is not awful, so someone could enjoy it.
