It's been like a decade since I first watched the first half of 5D's so I don't remember it too well, but yeah from what I remember I think I feel mostly the same; I wish Aki got to do more too, Jack and Carly are great, and yeah I can see what you mean about it being a bit of a cop-out, but I can't say it surprises me either that they did that. It does find its focus again yeah, although it does take a while; that's the reason it took me so many years to finish the show myself, but I am glad that I did. I don't know why I never watched 5D's when I was younger either because I watched all of GX, even the fourth season that never got dubbed, I never really watched the original though. Yeah, I'm with you: there's no way I could watch 5D's dubbed for the soundtrack alone.

Mal really just appeared and decided to stay one day huh ^^ On one side I do like bbcode and the possibilities, but on the other side I despise it for how much pain it caused me over the years. I remember one profile I had was fully functional and all, but it was like 10 small image snippes and bbcode did NOT like having to put these seamlessly together lmao.

I totally get that approach of focusing on one thing at a time and not having music in the background, but for blame luckily I found sort of tailor-made music for it that enhances the experience. There's this track called "Nowhere to run" by stegosaurus rex that fits the exact vibe of blame, try listening to it while reading it's chapter and maybe youll get what Im talking about.
As for Aposimz, oh yeah he wasnt good with faces before but i thought that flaw sort of helped Blame because of how devoid every character is from emotions.
Good to know he's improved tho, although I get your complaints on Aposimz, I can only say anything about them after reading the Manga, but overall I don't get pissed on any artist for changing. I'm personally planning on getting back to Berserk, it was so good but I got busy with life and then it was sort of on hold so can't wait to get back to it.
I think Nihei has a very badass approach to action choreography with gunshots and unusual mechanics so ill definitely enjoy Biomega, some of the fights i still remember in Blame which were too much peak too handle, one made my ass get off from the chair and stare in disbelief, even though I usually do that with his so uniquely crafted art style panels to buildings and architecture, not flipping the page but gazing and glazing a panel for about minutes. My laptop and phone all had blame panel wallpapers back in the day. I have a curated playlist for when I read Blame, it just maximizes the experience tenfold. Do you listen to music while reading Nihei?
As for Aposimz, a lot of people were mad the artstyle was changed, i think artists should experiment and him dabbling with a new artsyle isn't a big deal imo, it looks great.
