Regarding my lists - I pretty much use them as a massive plan to watch list where "currently watching" is the highest priority (most likely to watch next) or I actually am watching them then "on hold" is like the show sounds interesting and I want to watch it just not right now and lastly "plan to watch" is just an abyss of anime I'll 'watch' one day.

Made in Abyss straight up made me change the way I rate shows cause 10s are for sure 10s are not all made equal --> used to be just enjoyment
System now~
10 = 10/10 enjoyment and it has IMO objectively amazing quality
9 = 10/10 enjoyment yet can't match up to the 10s in terms of quality (or had the quality but the series had flaws)
1-8 = rated upon my enjoyment - rating whenever I had issues with the show (i.e. shit ending or crap characters)

The reason I rate a show depending on my enjoyment is that most shows over time become outdated (although obviously quality does influence enjoyment to an extent regardless).

11/10 series which stand over the rest to me are:
1. Steins;Gate
2. Made in Abyss
3. Clannad
4. Orb: On the Movements of the Earth
5. Frieren Beyond Journey's End (likely to be higher after S3)
6. 86

Also caught up (V10, C384) and currently reading 'The Beginning After The End' and it's honestly amazing (ez 11/10 and a must read) and would be one of my favs but it's unfortunately not on MAL
