sure thing:)
true, its not so bad just a bit underwhelming at some point, i think its better if they focused on one element like SOL with wholesome moment. indeed its a wasted potential

damn right simple is best, if u want another fantasy anime, i got a good one u can check it out, its called Wajutsushi/The most notorious Talker. MC a bit edgy but plot actually cool.

yo nice review on Katainaka no Ossan, just finished it I was so close to dropping it around episode 6. It was a complete mess with the plot going all over the place. This is literally the only anime that made me feel awkward just watching it because the scene transitions felt so weird. To the very end, there was zero actual chemistry between the master and his students, oh boy...

And what you said about Mui and Beryl is so real. That episode finally showed the series had something to offer, their chemistry and bond were unironically stronger than all of his students combined, like fr? I didn't know an anime could feel this shallow and bland.

Huge W for I Parry Everything though! Every single episode was def more enjoyable

I started out that way too, at first, it was just so I wouldn't forget to leave my reviews, and here I am now with 500 reviews under my belt lol.

Your review for the "From old country bumpkin to master swordsman" was really good. I think that the main reason it didn't work as a slice of life anime wasn't that it had one bad aspect you described, rather than it hadn't any redeeming one. Worldbuilding could be overlooked, if the characters weren't bad, overarching story (or the lack of it) could be excused, if the episodic stories weren't cliche. But all those things combined to make a meh experience.

Thanks for liking my reviews; I write a few a week, mainly to remind myself why I liked or disliked a work.

By the way, great review, my friend.

It's just something I happened to notice, and it bothered me, because otherwise the anime is good.

Haha that's awesome 😂 I wish I could do that more often! My brain loves lists and checking things off, so I somehow turned anime into an organized project.

There's definitely something nice about just scrolling through your PTW and randomly picking whatever catches your eye though. I bet you've found some hidden gems that way!

Idk I like lists and checking stuff off so it helps me to organize lol. Its not perfect but I enjoy it!!!!

How do you go about choosing shows?
Alexanderevealed Jun 18, 12:52 PM
Haha, good question

If it's a sequel to something I've already watched, I just watch it when I get to that season and then keep going backwards afterward. If it's a sequel to a series I haven't seen yet, I'll pause and go watch the earlier seasons first before coming back to it.

It sounds a little chaotic, but somehow it's worked out pretty well so far!

Heyyy, thanks a lot for accepting. I'm sorry for the late reply, been busy :)) NICE TO MEET YAAAA, your profile is so cuteeee
Alexanderevealed Jun 17, 2:36 PM
lol 😂

I actually started by watching all of the current seasonals as they aired, and then decided to work my way **backwards** through anime history one season at a time. Right now I'm in **Fall 2022**, so I've already seen everything newer than that and I'm slowly making my way into the past.

It's been a really fun project because I end up finding a lot of hidden gems that I probably would've skipped otherwise. 😄

Thanks! I am just a binge watcher at heart, so I always wait till the end of the season anyways lol, so I finally just started tracking it that way. I still get some spontaneous adds though!
It’s time to ditch the text file.
