Voice Actress Mai Fuchigami Announces Marriage

Voice actress Mai Fuchigami announced her marriage on her X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday.

"To everyone who has always supported me, I would like to announce that I, Mai Fuchigami, have gotten married. I will continue to move forward with gratitude and strive to improve both as a person and an actress, so I hope you will continue to support me with kindness," Fuchigami wrote in a post on X.

In 2009, Fuchigami began her voice acting career with minor characters in various anime series such as Toaru Majutsu no Index (A Certain Magical Index). She made her major debut as the lead character Kaname Asagiri in the Ookamikakushi visual novel that year. She also returned to play the role for the anime adaptation in 2010.

Fuchigami's notable roles include Nagisa Shiota in Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (Assassination Classroom), Miho Nishizumi in Girls & Panzer (Girls und Panzer), Iona in Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Ars Nova (Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova-), Alice Yotsuba in Dokidoki! Precure (Glitter Force Doki Doki), and Karen Houjou in The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls.

In January 2018, Fuchigami made her debut as a singer under Lantis with the album "Fly High Myway!"

@Nachtwandler_21 Not all people know the VA. For example, I am very familiar with her most hyped roles, but I have already forgotten that she voiced them.

Miho is getting married, another sign of the end of an era. But seriously, it looks like talented VAs with a bunch of popular characters who at some point simply stop getting interesting roles are already becoming a trend.
