Tite Kubo's 'Burn the Witch' One-shot Gets Theatrical Anime in Fall 2020

A theatrical anime adaptation of the Burn the Witch one-shot was announced during the Bleach 20th Anniversary Project & Tite Kubo New Project Presentation livestream on Saturday. The anime will debut in Fall 2020.

Voice actresses Yuina Yamada (Anima Yell!, Kuromukuro) and Asami Tano (Zombieland Saga, Love Live! Sunshine!!) are playing the lead characters Noel Niihashi and Ninny Spangcole, respectively.

Tite Kubo published Burn the Witch in Weekly Shounen Jump in July 2018, nearly two years after ending the serialization of Bleach. VIZ Media simultaneously published the chapter in English. The one-shot will receive a regular serialization in Weekly Shounen Jump this Summer.

Synopsis
Historically, 72% of all the deaths in London are related to dragons, fantastical beings invisible to the majority of the people. While unknown to most, some people have been standing up to these dragons.

Only inhabitants of Reverse London who live in the hidden "reverse" side of London can see the dragons. Even then, only a selected few become qualified enough as witches or wizards to make direct contact with them.

The protagonists of the story are witch duo Noel Niihashi and Ninny Spangcole. They are protection agents for Wing Bind (WB), an organization for dragon conservation and management. Their mission is to protect and manage the dragons within London on behalf of the people. (Source: Official site)

It is unusual to see so few salty people in this thread. When this title was first translated, I saw people who literally hated Kubo for not being yuri.

I am excited for more from the bleach author even tho the second part of bleach needed to be burned.

I thought the one shot was interesting as well. I hope he also adapts it in manga form as well.

This is the year of Kubo. First Sakura Taisen, then Bleach and then this. Our King has returned.

I don't know anything about the manga, but the trailer as well as the really talented staff make me confident, that this will be some good shit. Plus these two girls are cute.

Never read the one-shot, but this trailer for the movie looks solid. Both main characters look beautiful too.
Looking forward to this, may even read the one-shot before touching the movie.

I remember reading the one shot and actually liking it. I really hope they give the characters more expressive faces from early Bleach over the permanent constipated looks every character had on their face starting from the Hueco Mundo arc
