The Author is revealed to be writing a new manga using a penname on the infamous Manga One

Shogakukan revealed that "ACT AGE" author Matsuki Tatsuya was hired by Manga One Editorial under a penname too.

Matsuki was found guilty in 2020 for committing a coerced indecent act on a female middle school student which lead to the cancellation of "Act Age" in Shonen Jump back then.

He's actually also the author "Yatsunami Miki" of Fantasy Manga "The Counselor through the Years and Stars" together with artist Yukihira Kaoru.

Manga One Editorial had informed artist Yukihira Kaoru in this case beforehand and they agreed to draw the work due to its quality. The manga is halted for now.

In the wake of a internal investigation following the recent Manga One scandal, it was decided to be made public.

That’s crazy, when it was announced that Frieren’s author left the company because of them covering over a criminal author I don’t know why but I had a feeling that it was him. :o

Its not about cultural difference but someone who has served their time should be able to work normally but he didn't. He should be atleast few years in prison (in my opinion).These companies sometimes even cover the cases. Also this has nothing to do with 'japanese cultural differences' considering what happened with Diddy. What Diddy and Epstein did was way worse than what most these Mangaka do but I will say west worse than east in this regard anyways.
