 The Gintama Super Stage at Jump Festa 2026 revealed new staff, the theme song, a key visual (pictured), and trailer for the Gintama Movie: Yoshiwara Daienjou (Gintama Movie: Yoshiwara in Flames) on Saturday. Japanese rock band SUPER BEAVER is performing the theme song "Sanzen," previewed in the trailer below. Naoya Andou (Paradox Live the Animation) is helming the movie, with Youichi Fujita (Gintama director) serving as the supervisor. Taku Kishimoto (Ousama Ranking) is handling the script, with Shinji Takeuchi (Gintama) serving as the character designer and chief animation director. Bandai Namco Pictures is producing the movie. Sorachi serialized the original Gintama manga in Weekly Shounen Jump from December 2003 to September 2018. The manga then transferred to Jump Giga and ran for three consecutive issues from December 2018 to February 2019. The last few chapters were released on the official Gintama app from May to June 2019. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in 2006 and released the first 23 volumes from July 2007 to August 2011. The first television anime produced by Sunrirse aired 201 episodes from Spring 2006 to Winter 2010, followed by six seasons between 2011 and 2018, several original video anime, original net anime, and movies.
