| fuckkk i have to wait another season of villains thriving for half of a season huh. well i didn't want a half assed ending too. so that's alright i guess i gotta say seeing characters like lucky cyan, big and little johnny's in the 3d style was soo wired as we only saw them in one 2d art style. really hope X will fkn decimate this dog ass trust & fear system along with the commission and the agencies. with all the corrupted fucks. seeing a whole episode of bro dealing with fodder was fkn awesome. tho i wanted to see him annihilate those goons as he only dodged their attacks. also curios how he defeated queen in a blink of an eye. he also knows all the corruption happening in the world from the start. which is good. that episode where smile visited him made me think he's just a normal guy with op powers. that won't be able to do much about the corruption. glad it was not the case. seeing nice not dead as not a surprise after all. not knowing the reason behind Moons murder was infuriating. anyway, i gotta give 10/10 for the animations. 7/10 for the story. |

| Easily one of the greatest finale episode of all time, X what a mad man. His powers were absolute bonkers, That smooth 2d-3d and 3d-2d transition was insane. This is my 2nd donhua after Link Click needless to say it blowed my mind, I will be checking more of Li Haoling's works. It seems like waiting for Season 2 release will be a pain, Which i have to endure for a long time.... |

| I thought the last episode was going to be X’s story, but I quickly gave up on that idea. This guy needs an entire new season just for himself. This season was mostly about introducing all the pieces of the story, and now we know that he was behind almost every single hero currently in the top 10. It feels like he was building his own team for a big fight that he knows he can't win by himself. I’m expecting great things from the next season. |
| This show was occasionally good but overall I didn't like it. The subtitles taking a dive in quality in the second half was also annoying. Timing was bad (lines showing up at the wrong time), some translations seemed weird. Occasionally the subs would say something when there was literally nothing spoken. Maybe they were dubtitles for the EN dub or maybe the subs were based on Chinese audio. Who knows. I don't remember it starting out that bad so maybe there was a staff change. I pretty much always watch sequels to stuff I've seen, but I'm not sure if I'd sit through another season of this. Maybe if it's been long enough I'd give the next season a go at least, but I wouldn't be excited about it. I think I'll be more hesitant to pick up any more Chinese shows in the future now as well. I'm surprised the reception here seems pretty positive and the show is ranked so high. I remember before it aired people made a big deal about the flashy animation in the trailer. I was excited at the time as well. I found the art style changes to be tiresome. I liked in the middle of the show or so where it was pretty consistent for a while. I don't usually feel so negatively about a show, but this show was pretty unique I suppose. That can be polarizing. |
