absolutely incredible, I was so hyped i actually was shaking throughout the episode, To Be Hero X is my favorite thing right now.
I love all the heroes, I honestly can't bring myself to hate any of them (still have some beef with E-Soul since episode 4, but I still like him as a character lmao)
BUT AAAAAH LIN LING WE SAW YOU AGAIN!!!
AND X, HOLY CRAP AURA FARMING SO HARD, I MISSED THAT 3D STYLE

I don't get it. Has everything been a flashback and NOW we're close to where episode 1 started?

Fwiw I didn't like how Queen just ended everything without the tiniest shred of effort. She didn't look that powerful before and now she's super op.

And I don't understand how Nice and E-Soul got away with things. Loli, Ghostblade and Little Johnny KNOW they're evil, right? Why wouldn't the continue to beat them up or at least lock them up? Expose them to the public? Super weird.

Fwiw, Loli was unrealistically powerful. She had no business beating Nice like that. I hated her character from the beginning, this was too much.

Not sure when Nuono got hurt so badly, we saw her and Loli's father sitting in a circle and they did NOT get hurt. I guess the father got a stab in the back, but nothing life-threatening. Him dead and Nuono badly hurt feels a bit forced.

Oh well. I hope this means next episode goes back to our new Hero Nice who took over in episode 1. Time to bring back the true hero!

OG nice reminded me of Homelander with how much he wanted to keep his reputation. Enlighter was right about him , we just couldn’t see it. I bet loli would’ve been happy to hear that nice died .

@ramenyst Shang De uses Fear to create villains, which are then used as cannon fodder to boost Nice's popularity.

You can see it in Moon's backstory in Episode 2 (where she's 'coincidentally' ambushed by Phobiaclone and 'coincidentally' Nice is right there to save her), and also in Episode 2's main story with Wreck (Nice's boyfriend who's publicly acting as his nemesis, while they're actually employed by the same people).

You can also see this at the end of Episode 20, when Lin Ling's cameo happens. He's shown editing Nice's advert to look like he's fighting Phobiaclone, even though they were working together in the Ruins Incident.

They could have easily. And I mean easily.
Done a simple still frame cut, pause; hit on the boy lab assistant's head, pause, flash-white, still frame cut of the bio weapons advance in a different pose; hit on the boy lab assistant's head, pause, flash-white, as prior ref, back to boy lab assistant's head getting caved offscreen-onscreen for multi seconds of run.

But... Unless I completely missed something.
Nothing normative in that regard happened.
And thus far they have not missed or cut anything this big.

I thought the addition of the death of the lab assistant was great btw.
Very appropriate and cinematic. Worked very well.

One thing I hope is they don't abandon the current animation style.
In favor of the prior CGI motion picture animation. That the season started off with.

I mean nothing you can do. If they already shot the episodes ahead of time. But, still one can hope.

surprised everyone loved this episode and is calling it peak cause i was very disappointed in the direction the show is going :( i feel like it started out so strong and had a great premise but became so cliche and the characters motives don’t even make sense a lot of the time

I'm a bit confused about one thing— is the e-soul in this episode Yang Cheng or the original e-soul? I ask because I noticed he’s missing an arm, but I don’t think the original e-soul was evil.

I saw someone say somewhere that we switched to fully 2D for a story reason, and I wasn't convinced. Not upset, because the animation has been stellar on both sides, but I just figured it was a production thing.

Oh boy am I glad I was wrong.

ok this episode was insane , the battles were epic! Loli and Queen slayed them all, so hero Nice was a villain in the end, I felt sorry for him in the first episodes but not anymore basically heroes aren’t so much “heroes” .

@End17 E-soul is a hero, sure he kills other heroes but at least he legit does hero work.
Nice, all fabricated villain and girlfriend for popularity.
Cyan, at heart is a musician and idol.
Queen, mostly political reasons
Johnny, just a mascot
Ghostblade, a silent assassin
Loli, sure i guess shes a hero too
Ahu, just a guardian dog
Dragon boy, seems like a villain or vessel for Zero
