Felt so sorry for Alpha when she realised John Smith was Cid. The way she was lying on the tracks, begging him not to leave her. Poor Alpha.

I wish Cid would realise he's got an army of best girls waiting to do anything for him, of course that'd be the end of the show, so I also hope that doesn't happen and we get many more seasons. This show is just brilliant.

The levels of twisted misunderstandings in this arc were so good.

This is such a long setup for that punchline in the end where Cid is digging in the snow looking for gold that's not there. Was it worth it? Nahh lol But see he did it again like I said. Everything he says and do are all bullshit and somehow someway everything works out because it looks like Delta did find something. No doubt she's gonna tell the rest of the girls how Shadow is so smart cause she thought there's nothing in that snow that they've been digging for hours and then boom they found the insert name of a very powerful artifact or something.

Delta continues to grow on me throughout this season, gotta love how she is the only member of Shadow Garden who will casually hang around Cid cuz she doesn't know any better xD I do wonder what she found at the end of the episode tho... situation reminds me of that one meme image where a miner turns around and walks away right before he was about to find diamonds xD My man Cid should have just kept digging a little more!

They should have named this show Blind Luck.

Cid goes on and on about the plans that he has in his head and then things unfold in the real world in a totally different way. Him being so cryptic in not asking for things he wants directly, not expressing his true feelings about anything, and not sharing his true goals for the future makes it so that everyone thinks he is some mastermind genius.

He has no idea that the Cult of Diablos was going to be starting their own counterfeiting operation. He had no clue that the Seven Shadows would decipher his message and grab the gold to save the company. There was no prior knowledge of how what he said to Gettan would end up making Yukime think that he had some deep-seated feelings for her or that his actions would end up getting her to cross over to working on his side.

Blind Luck.

This episode is masterpiece🤣🤣

Alpha and others were rightfully felt betrayed and disheartened but thanks to bs deciphering the got the money+ their trust and believe remained intact. Glad to see them happy. Cid got what he deserved lol. Top tier writing.

And thus, this Mitsugoshi vs MCA Corporate ware arc has come to an end, honestly, it's been a wonderful arc.
Shadow Garden is at its all-time lowest morale. With their leader presumably betraying them and the second in command, Alpha morally broken, Shadow Garden will be fractured sooner or later if this situation were to persist. Until a miraculous encrypted letter from Shadow were revealed.

Up to this point, I have never questioned Cid's idiocy once, without all the almighty power and the theatrics, in his core, he's a dumbass through and through, but for once I was actually hyped up to see Cid as Shadow anticipate many of the upcoming results from his action, justifying and explaining it all in this letter he wrote earlier. His solid plan to pull off an artificial inflation, simultaneously doing a gold heist whilst also taking down many opponents along the way would possibly go down as one of the Greatest solo-operation Shadow has done as his John Smith persona. But it's all for the wrong reasons...

In the end, he was doing it all for his selfish capital gain, which is a very Cid thing to do. However, that's not the reason he's stupid because admittedly his plan is great, just that he fails to anticipate his girls from anticipating the anticipated anticipation. Long story short, he did a bunch of work to get a bunch of real golden zenis only for it all to be collected by Shadow Garden to be used to survive the financial crash that he, John Smith himself has caused all by himself...

It's safe to say that no matter how clever your plan is or how almighty your power is, KARMA WILL FIND ITS WAY...
At this point, he should have a double PhD degrees in Misunderstanding. Bro even broke his promise with Delta and walked away from the actual buried treasure, wow.

Well, good news is Mitsugoshi, thanks to Shadow even though he was also the one that brought the financial crash, Yukeme allied her faction with Shadow Garden, the Black Tower and the Vampire tower are brought to ruins and most importantly, Shadow Garden themselves are still standing, thanks to misunderstanding the letter.
_______________________
Effectively, while Cid didn't get anything for his work, he quite literally made Shadow Garden a stronger organization, Mitsugoshi holds an uncontested monopoly over all business sectors, and also took control over all of the Lawless City via Yukime's partnership seeing that the White tower is the last one to remain standing.
W Shadow

I genuinely hated this ep. I get this show is all about misunderstandings but the misunderstandings for everything in this ep actually just pissed me off cos of how stupid they were. Not to mention, Gettan being killed cos Cid and his girls r all fucking retarded, and Yumiko just being a silent dunce.

@phantom346 This is what pissed me off about this ep the most. The girls just refused to communicate and tell him something like "we figured out what u were trying to do. We've taken all the money u saved for us." Gettan's death could've been avoided as well.

At the start Alpha and Gamma were completely dooming thinking Shadow had forsaken them. But for reasons like thinking they failed to meet his expectations lmao. But Eta somehow managed to decipher his note and it said what they needed to hear. Or what they wanted to hear? Who knows if what she translated was even accurate. I don't feel like looking it up. But it's funny how much they trust Shadow lol.

Yukime got kidnapped and John Smith went after Gettan to save her. Sorry. He was actually just after the money all along lol. But somehow one thing led to another and he's still broke. When the hell did Shadow Garden move all the money?

Anyway, this was an interesting arc. But not my favorite.

So, the one who had it the worst this whole arc was Juggernaut, getting thrashed by Delta offscreen.
