| i've rewatched this show a few times now... and i've wondered more than once... why doesn't Roxanne wear her Maid Uniform more often? i know directors, animators, and character designers dislike making new looks for people. just one design takes a crapton of work to test and draw and animate. adding a second look after the first takes not quite as much work. yet it isn't common in anime except for 'fashion show' moments where the girl n guy go shopping for a date and she tries stuff on for him... annnd seldom if ever wears anything from 'the show' later on in that season. of course, fanservice arcs and anime original arcs and OVAs etc. are specially created by anime studios to titillate the fans with swimsuits etc. but Roxanne's Maid Uniform appears in only one episode up till 9 (i think) as well as being in the EP. with that one scene i would imagine that making more with her in The Uniform wouldn't be all that hard for Passione. but Allen The Slave Trader especially mentioned when Michio first meets Roxanne that her Maid Uniform 'comes with purchase'. perhaps highlighting the work and quality and 'ero possibilities' of The Uniform? she carries it in her suitcase to the Inn in Vale, hangs it in the closet there, and she shows it off a bit more after that (maybe?). but i haven't seen her in it or even mention it to Michio after the first time. our MC mentions before Ep9 about buying a spare set of clothes and more underwear etc. for Roxanne very early in their relationship. but he seems to entirely forget she has her Maid Uniform for a spare set of clothes? i wonder, is this a LN issue? is her Maid Uniform not in the story much more than that first appearance? i can't imagine the author NOT catering (more often) to the 'Maid Uniform Otaku' after putting Roxanne in it at least once in their books. or is this an 'adaptation cut' to save on time/effort/budget by Passione? |
