Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu

Despite being bullied, scorned, and oppressed all of his life, a 34-year-old shut-in still found the resolve to attempt something heroic—only for it to end in a tragic accident. But in a twist of fate, he awakens in another world as Rudeus Greyrat, starting life again as a baby born to two loving parents.

Preserving his memories and knowledge from his previous life, Rudeus quickly adapts to his new environment. With the mind of a grown adult, he starts to display magical talent that exceeds all expectations, honing his skill with the help of a mage named Roxy Migurdia. Rudeus learns swordplay from his father, Paul, and meets Sylphiette, a girl his age who quickly becomes his closest friend.

As Rudeus' second chance at life begins, he tries to make the most of his new opportunity while conquering his traumatic past. And perhaps, one day, he may find the one thing he could not find in his old world—love.

Honestly the hate is way overdone
People just like making fun of someone who for liking this anime.
There are much extreme and vulgar stuff happen in older anime but back then anime wasn't that popular .
Anyway let's review mushoku tensei.

Although Isekai anime release are too frequent now
Mushoku is still the best at it
They put alot in world setting/building
The way character interacted feels real and human.
The world feel alive.
... Many hate Rudeus for what he's done in early eps but watching him grew as person is felt comforting and I don't get why many prefer flawless/perfect mc like Jinwoo / tanjiro.

There's no doubt the effort they put into this anime as they solely create studio just for mushoku.
Every episode is eye candy it really unique in artstyle and when it comes to action they always go all out in sakuga.
Honestly is the best show that I watched in recent year
And been rewatching 3/4 times already

Mixed Feelings

Rudeus is a pedophile rapist, and every other male in the series is also some form of rapist, but uhh.... otherwise it's ok I guess.

It does feel grounded and realistic most of the time. If you like Kanye West, you can probably tolerate it. And aren't a woman. Hard watch for the women of the world, would not recommend.

Story: 9/10 it's pretty decent.
World-Building: 7/10 overrated. The world feels grounded but it's really not as interesting as people make it out to be.
Characters: ?/10: If you ignore the sexism and pedophilia, there is genuine flaws and growth, and they're somewhat nuanced sometimes.
Action: Mid/10
Art: Good/10

Passable/Good in most things other than writing, Rudeus is an unlikable molester who the author rewards/does not punish for his actions and expects us to sympathize or connect/root/care for him. Specific scenes bring the own authors personal fetishes in to question as the fact that Rudeus has no manner of progression/change in his problematic behaviour and is rewarded for it. His actions can be compared to similar main characters in other fields such as Humbert Humbert in Nabokov's Lolita however in Lolita not only is Humbert not rewarded for his actions but it is Explicitly clear that Nabokov 1. does not endorse his actions ... or finds them to be correct. 2. has made it so all information is coming through his lenses as a Serial Molester and child predator. which brings his words into question regarding if he is retelling a sugarcoated version of events. However in Mushoku Tensei, All information; seen outside of Rudeus's own personal delusions and monologues, is seemingly absolute and not from a warped visual perspective unlike something like the Monogatari series, Which has similar issues but nowhere near to the severity of this show. the fact what we see is absolute cements rudeus's status as a horrible person who despite being in another world with a different etic he seems to have no bearing on throwing away parts of his own (japanese) etic such as the age of consent but complying when its convenient. It is only due to it being above par in all other manors compared to other shows that I deign to give this a 4, if you removed this shithead and replaced him with literally any other isekai mc it would probably rise to a 7. Also Check this authors hard drive.
