Boku no Hero Academia: Hero Note

I'm not really big on recap episodes, though I'll give this recap episode credit that it's all talked through by Izuku. It's technically all that happened in the first season from when Izuku first met All Might to pass his exams to get into U.A. High School to get to know his fellow students while attending the school to fight off the League of Villains during their trip to the U.S.J. Izuku also explains much about the Quirks of both his friends and the teachers. Well, not every single person or this recap episode would go on much longer. I thoroughly ... enjoyed this as they even repeated the best moments from each episode. You are free to skip this since it's nothing too much unless you're a fan of My Hero Academia as a whole. All I can say for this short review. I will give this episode alone seven Izuku's collection of journals out of ten. 7/10.

Usually I'm not the one to enjoy watching recaps, unless I need to remember some of the events from anime which haven't seen for a long time. But this time was exception.

As a recap of 1st season, I could say it was quite well made with most important events put in just one episode.

....Also, liked idea of including Deku's hero notes with cute drawings. Always wondered what exactly he writes in his notes and how does he describes heroes in them, because in the main show series a viewer could only get a glimpse of it.

Although, I wonder how his classmates ... would react seeing themselves in Deku's notebook :D

  

4/10 ~ Just a recap ep

This is essentially a recap of season 1—nothing more. It effectively summarizes the events of the first season in just one episode while also setting the stage for season 2 and building excitement. There’s not much to say since it’s mainly a long summary.

For those eager to jump straight into season 2 without revisiting season 1, this episode provides a brief overview of what’s going on, though I wouldn’t necessarily recommend skipping the first season. It serves more as a "memory refresher" to get you hyped for what’s coming next.

I think if you wanted to get back into MHA and ... start from S2 this would be an acceptable starting place, I personally just prefer youtube summaries myself but you do you
